  Personal profile
Jie Cui, female, graduated from the Department of Life Sciences at Fudan University in 2015 with a Ph.D. degree, continued to conduct research as a post-doc in College of Life Sciences and Oceanography at Shenzhen University from 2015 to 2017. Dr. Cui worked as a visiting scholar at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2018 to 2019, and started her work as a faculty in Shenzhen University since Dec. 2017. Dr. Cui’s research has been mainly focusing on the mechanism of small RNA biogenesis and action in various plant species. Examples of her research interests include: biogenesis and functions of ribosomal siRNAs in Arabidopsis, molecular mechanisms of plant miRNA action, the association of poly-ribosome with phasiRNA biogenesis in crops, investigation on function and evolution of small RNAs in Bryophyte, et., al. Dr. Cui has gotten funding support from the National Natural Science Foundation Young Scholar Program and the Research and Development Foundation of Science and Technology of Shenzhen. In recent five years, Dr. Cui has published several first-authored or corresponding authored SCI research articles with high impact factors.
